Learn the complete Yi Jin Jing, “Transforming the Muscles and Tendons Qigong,” a series of easy to learn postures practiced with isometric tension and dynamic breathing. This style of qigong is so important that it is one of the few styles officially approved in China’s modern health care system. You will learn the original method from the Fujian Province Shaolin Temple. The Yi Jin Jing drives life force (qi) through the tendons, fascia, and muscles, increasing their strength and health. You will also practice qigong conditioning exercises to prevent athletic or everyday injuries, as well as healing visualizations for tranquility and inner peace. These rare meditations are the legacy of the great fourth century Buddhist pilgrim and translator Kumarajiva. They form part of the spiritual, mind-transforming root of qigong. There will also be time for discussion of qigong philosophy and science. You will take home a complete, dynamic healing workout. The course is open to beginners and all levels. 

Ken Cohen is a Qigong and Tai Chi Master with fifty years experience. He is the author of The Way of Qigong (Random House) and winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award in Energy Medicine.
